The batik process 5:
The stamped fabric is bleached then recoloured, and finally boiled to remove the wax.
The fabric from earlier after it has been fully stamped. The dark pattern is wax. | Same fabric after it has been bleached. So the colour has almost disappeared where there is no wax. |

The fabric is boiled in a basin like this. The wax will melt and float on top of the water, where it can be collected and reused. |
